  • 1.5 lbs large raw shrimp with skin removed
  • 2 tbsp canola or avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced*


  1. Preheat oven to high broil and relocate top rack to 4-6" from broiler.

  2. Toss shrimp, oil, salt, and garlic on a large baking sheet.

  3. Broil for 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink throughout.

  4. Drizzle with 1/2 fresh lemon (juice) and chopped fresh parsley if desired.

Recipe Notes

*  Other flavour variations include:

  1. Spanish: toss shrimp with 2 tsp of smoky paprika before broiling. 
  2. Cilantro Lime: omit lemon juice and parsley. Toss shrimp with the juice of 1 lime and 2 tsbp of fresh chopped cilantro. 
  3. Spicy: add 1 tsp crushed red pepper chili flakes when tossing shrimp with garlic, oil, and salt.
