Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 2 tsp fine (berry) sugar
  • 4 medium fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 3 oz. white rum
  • 1/2 cup club soda

Instructions

  1. Muddle* blackberries, sugar, and mint together, breaking down the blackberries and dissolving the sugar.

  2. Add lime juice and rum to blackberry mixture, stirring to combine. Divide between two glasses and top with club soda.

  3. Top with lots of ice (crushed is usually more traditional in a mojito, but ice is ice!).

Recipe Notes

* a muddler is a flat surfaced kitchen tool that squishes and breaks down ingredients, allowing the ingredients to release more flavour and meld together.
