Tropical Popsicles

Tropical Popsicles are a great way to ease babies into new flavours and help numb those sore gums during teething. Adored by kids and adults alike around here.

  • 1/4 medium pineapple, skin and core removed, chopped into 1"pieces
  • 1 medium ripe mango (winter) OR peach (summer), skin removed, pitted, and roughly chopped into 1" pieces
  • 1 medium ripe pear, core removed and roughly chopped into 1" pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.

  2. Place chopped pineapple, peach, and pear on a foil lined baking tray. Place tray in preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until fruit has softened.

  3. Remove tray from oven and let cool slightly.

  4. Blend fruit in a a blender until smooth. Pour liquid into popsicle moulds and freeze overnight (or at least 8 hours).

  5. Save remaining purée for other use*.

Recipe Notes

* *I usually mix the leftover purée with yogurt for the babies dessert, but it would also be a great replacement to apple sauce in muffins or a nice snack on it’s own too.
